Loosely inspired by The Beatles and The Beach Boys, Best Coast's music is often categorized under the subgenres of surf, garage rock, and lo-fi. Prefix Magazine quoted “... lo-fi gaze standout tinged with just enough euphoria to put you in an opiate haze for a few minutes past it's 2-and-a-half minute length, guaranteed you listen to it with the sun in your face. The track's accompanying video takes clips from 1966 film "Un Homme et Une Femme" by Claude Lelouche, and drags the bittersweet feel way out of the background of Best Coast's track and puts it right in the forefront.”
